Maegan Bridwell is a dedicated trial attorney at The Haggard Law Firm, based in the firm’s Tampa office. She represents victims in some of the most complex and high-stakes personal injury cases, including negligent security, drownings, sexual assault, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death.
Before joining The Haggard Law Firm, Maegan spent nearly a decade as a trial attorney at the esteemed full-service defense firm, Kubicki Draper. Her legal career began in the firm’s Miami office, where she started as a Summer Associate and quickly advanced to a practicing trial attorney. In 2016, Maegan returned to her hometown of Tampa, where she continued her practice as a Shareholder, handling an extensive caseload in personal injury defense.
Throughout her career, Maegan has specialized in litigating complex personal injury cases, bad faith litigation, automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and even intellectual property and construction-related disputes. Beyond her litigation work, she played a key role in recruiting and mentoring young legal talent, spearheading the Summer Associate Program that helped shape her own passion for trial law. She also led multiple speaking engagements, educating others on the intricacies of bad faith law in Florida.
Maegan’s reputation as a formidable advocate is built on her meticulous attention to detail, unwavering work ethic, and deep commitment to her clients. After years of defending individuals and entities in high-stakes litigation, she transitioned to plaintiff representation, determined to leverage her experience to fight for those who have suffered life-altering harm due to negligence.
Her passion for justice is fueled by a desire to not only secure the best possible outcomes for her clients but also to push for systemic change in industries that continue to contribute to preventable tragedies.
Maegan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a Minor in Communications from the University of Florida. Before that, she played college softball at Pasco-Hernando State College, where she was a two-time Academic All-American. She went on to earn her law degree magna cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 2014.
Outside the courtroom, Maegan enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, attending sporting events, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
“Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
