During the Florida Justice Association Convention in St Pete Beach Florida yesterday, The Haggard Law Firm’s Todd Michaels lead a seminar discussing opening statements. His lecture, ‘Closing the Deal in Opening’ was part of FJA’s Advanced Trial Skills program.

Michael Haggard, the Managing Partner of The Haggard Law Firm, was the featured expert in a recent story aired by WINK-TV (CBS station) which covers southwestern Florida. The story was a follow-up to the tragic drowning of a 1 and 3-year-old in an apartment complex pool that had no pool safety gate.
Haggard is on the National Drowning Prevention Board and has worked with former Secretary of State James Baker on VIRGINIA GRAEME BAKER POOL AND SPA SAFETY ACT which was a law passed in the United States Congress (in 2008) to set new pool pump safety standards.

The Haggard Law Firm’s Managing partner Michael Haggard will be a panelist during the 2017 Florida’s Grand Bench & Bar Conference to be held on February 10th. Haggard will join three judges to discuss the topic titled Insights from the Jury II: A Discussion with Real Jurors which will be held from 2pm to 3pm. He is the only attorney on the panel that includes Hon. Eric Hendon, Hon. Rosa I. Rodriguez and Hon. Migna Sanchez – Llorens.
The conference will be held at the Coral Gables Country Club and will begin at 8am and includes more than 40 panel discussions.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel has listed Michael Haggard’s election as the President- Elect of the National Crime Victim’s Bar Association.
The Haggard Law Firm’s Managing Partner Michael Haggard will be a presenter during the 29th Annual Southern Trial Lawyers Association Conference next month.

Jacksonville, FL – The lack of required smoke detectors in a mobile home was the primary reason 5 year old Caydon Anderson will never see his beloved father Jemarr again. On May 18, 2015, 26-year-old Jemarr Anderson was asleep in a mobile home at 7582 Sonia Drive in Jacksonville when a fire broke out. The young father died of smoke inhalation in the fire that scorched the home.
