Lorrie Brown, as PR of the Estate of Jeremiah Emmanuel Jordan Brown, v. RAMCO Protective of Protective of Orlando, et. Al Polk County, FL
Jeremiah Brown was carjacked, shot, and killed while staying at an Airbnb in the ChampionsGate community near Orlando, Florida. Jeremiah was on vacation his girlfriend and her children and did not know the community had been targeted by criminals committing vehicle burglaries and car thefts in the months leading up to his death. The security company RAMCO Protective of Orlando, Inc., was hired by ChampionsGate to control access to the community and provide security guards. A review of surveillance footage (included in the link) revealed that on the night Brown was murdered, the killers accessed the community by driving past the guardhouse through the exit lanes to the community, which did not have physical access control barriers to prevent such activity.
