We are very proud to share that The Haggard Law Firm was awarded the “Justice For All” Award during today’s National Crime Victims’ Awareness Luncheon in Coral Gables. The event was hosted by the City of Coral Gables, the Coral Gables Police Department, and the National Crime Victims’ Rights Event Committee.
Our Susie Acosta and J.P. Hervis were on hand to receive the award “For Outstanding Contributions to Victims of Crime.” We are humbled to have been in attendance alongside the brave crime victims who have now become advocates in support of other victims, as well as the mental health professionals, members of law enforcement and professional victims’ rights advocates who dedicate their lives to helping families through the most difficult of times.
Each April the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crimes leads the victims’ rights campaign to honor victims and survivors in their path to recovery. This year’s theme, “Strength, Resilience, and Justice” reflects this vision of the future. One in which all victims are strengthened by the response they receive, organizations are resilient in response to challenges, and communities are able to seek collective justice and healing.
